meGui is best software to convert video's to mp4,but it is difficult to operate,but it is the best software to convert video's.it gives more quality than nero and other software,but in less size(almost 60% of size).I use it to convert video's for psp(use mp4).i can also encode video for phones,but we need to know the avc level with which we can play video on phone.if you d'nt know use the lowest one,but higher avc level give more quality

Try it. Convert by canopus from DVDrip avi file to m2p with Vietnamese subtitle and use 3gp Hi def convert to 3gp forrmat. File size ~350mb for 1h45' movie.
