How to unlock w580i for free? Please help!!!!

I just wanna unlock my w580i so bad. How do I do it? Please help!!!!!!!!!!

go to the download section and download remove sim-lock patch generator
and go to the guides/tutorial follow the steps to how to patch

But first tell us, what cid is your phone.

If cid 53 , then you can`t unlock your phone for free
If cid 52 , the follow this guide:

Call up your service provider

Tell them you frequently travel to another country and you want to use SIM cards from over there so you need the unlock code

If they tell you "no" keep insisting

It's easier to do this in America because almost all of our phones are not GSM (i.e. no one is really up on what unlocking really is so companies give out unlock codes like free candy)

Thank you vonsamurai! I just called at&t, my service provider, and told them what you told me. They said ok. I got the code and just unlocked my phone!!!
I also found the similar thing on at&t's forum and copy it to this forum so that more people can know about this. For those people, like me:), really want to unlock their phones, you really need to call your provider for the unlock code to unlock your phone. No matter what phone you have and No matter what provider you have and No matter what country...you just need to do it:p so u don't waste your time looking hard for solutions online to unlock your phone. ASK FOR INSTRUCTION ALSO IF NEEDED BECAUSE DIFFERENT PHONE OR PROVIDER REQUESTS DIFFERENT INSTRUCTIONS UNLOCKING YOUR PHONE! For more info, read this thread i posted: LISTEN UP AMERICANS!!!
