Post How to get access to all the folders on your UIQ3 phones

Written by Mr. Thunderbird from SE-NSE.

NOTE: I'm not responsible for damaged/broken phones.

First off all, download all the files we need.

1 - Sony Ericsson PC Suite for SmartPhones.

    Download here

    2 - UIQ3 Pack

    Download here

    OK, let's start!

    1. Install the downloaded software in the following order.

Sony Ericsson PC Suite For Smartphones
Python-2.5.1 (If asked to restart computer, restart it)
    Win32-py2.5
    Pyserial-2.2.win32

    2. Place the "1.py" file into your C:\ drive (on computer).
    3. Install APP TRK on your phone (Install it on PHONE MEMORY).
4.1. Connect your phone to your computer in 'Normal Mode' or 'Phone Mode.

4.2. Wait while SE PC Suite sync with your phone.

4.3. There should also be an M-Router icon in your system tray.

    5. Go To 'START' Right-click 'MY COMPUTER' and then 'MANAGE'.

    6. Navigate to 'DEVICE MANAGER' and then look at which PORT your phone uses 'Sony Ericsson XXXX Application Port (COMX).

    7. Go to C:\ Right-click the file, then 'OPEN WITH', 'CHOOSE PROGRAM', NOTEPAD.

    8. Press 'CTRL-F' and search for the line 'ser = serial.Serial'.

    9. As you saw on my screenshot, my W960 uses the port '4', then I -1 it so I have '3', edit the file 1.py to match your port -1.

    10. Save the changes.

    11. ON YOUR PHONE, start the TRK APP.

11.2. IF you are not connected, go to settings and change the port to '1'.

    12. On your COMPUTER, go to C:\ and double click the 1.py file...

    13. Then it should exit without waiting for user input.. That's normal..

    14. Done! Now you will have access to all the files in C:\ and RO(Read-Only) on Z:\!
Use a file manager like SWISS Manager or X-Plore to access the files.
After restarting the phone, protection will be on again, connect the phone to PC and just run the 1.py file again.

OR! Use Caps Switch! [It's in the .RAR file I uploaded above]
    Install it in this order:
    1. Upload the patched TRK APP driver to C:\sys\bin.
    2. Install Caps Switch.
    3. Run Caps Switch and then you can turn on/off the protection of files without the use of computer!

"OR! Use Caps Switch! [It's in the .RAR file I uploaded above]
    Install it in this order:
    1. Upload the patched TRK APP driver to C:\sys\bin.
    2. Install Caps Switch."
I got it to work by installing the cap switch and upload the patch after installation.

    i.e

OR! Use Caps Switch! [It's in the .RAR file I uploaded above]
    Install it in this order:
    1. Install Caps Switch.
    2. Upload the patched TRK APP driver to C:\sys\bin.

Thanks goes to Mr. Thunderbird from SE-NSE for this guide.

As far as I can see, if you restart it WILL put the protection back on, so you should NOT restart it, but access the files before u restart
